Any word on Kwame?
Did he get bought out or what?
Now that Mbenga is on the team for the rest of the season, does that mean there is no chance Kwame will come back to the Lakers?

on that note did Cassel sign with Boston in time?Sofa King wrote:I think he's still with the Grizz. If he got bought out now, and the Lakers resign him, Kwame wouldn't be on the playoffs roster anyway.

Kwame's value is at an all time low, so I think we should go after him aggressively this offseason. I bet we can get him for $2-3 mil, particularly since he already has "friends" on the Lakers and that seems important to him. He'd be a nice backup to Bynum, and since we're not going to resign Mihm anyway (I'm guessing -- guys been collecting a free check for how many years now?), we might as well lock Kwame up for a couple of season to ensure we aren't short-handed in the center department.

I think Mihm has a player's option. He might just end up being back since he's value is also at an all time low.

He does have a player option, but after that I see no reason why we should resign him. His career is done, IMO. That's why I'd like to go after Kwame, so that we at least know we have a decent defensive backup to Bynum in the years to come. Kwame can be had for cheap, so we might as well sign him up. What better options are there?
