Koby Carl?? pleaseeeee..... But Mbenga sure would make a scary thug if he had the right mentality. Since that foo cant do anything meaningful on the court, i suggest phil start grooming him into the team gangsta

I could imagine his intimidating ass overlooking the opponent and cussing in french!

hmm...or maybe we already have a low key thug in Big OG Phily-J**

anybody know french here?

Mbenga did 9 months in a torture prison... his last interview he basically said he wanted to scare players from entering the paint. So unleash the DJ.

I'll take mbenga over kwame any day of the week.

- he's cheaper.

- he has MUCH better hands than kwame

- he can actually hit jump shots

- he has more upside than kwame. he's still relatively unpolished and with the proper coaching he could be much better in the long-run.

I agree that he has more upside than kwame. the guy is like a mig man picked off the local park down the street. He is raw, but with proper coaching, he can do some contribution. However, what jump shot are youuuu talking about? he has no jumper.

Lakers will have one of the top defensive squads.

LO needs to keep up w/ 3's

Bynum needs to defend like crazy.

Pau is big enough to kill at the 4

Fish and Sash can be pests... just dont get the foul
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Our worst problem has come back to bite us in the rear again over the past few games. The defense at PG has been pretty much below par but certainly not as bad as it used to be with Smush. Thats an area for concern along with the pick n roll.

We don't have a 'thug' in this team who can knock down the opposition and instill fear in their minds. Gasol is soft, Kobe is going for the good boy attitude, Farmar and Sasha look like kids, and Ronny is simply not a thug. The Lakers is a clean cut, clean-image, white collar type of team. Artest can knock one of our players down and we won't do anything but watch.

Can we turn Coby Karl into a thug??
+1

Bynum and Ariza will bring back defense, but they are not the enforcer type. we do need one more piece and it is gonna have to be somebody that can bring toughness back to LA.
here is a quote from Gilbert Arenas' blog:

In those days, you had your enforcers. How hockey is now, is how basketball used to be. You had one player who was the enforcer, he protected the big star. You don
