I think a few things have to happen. For Kobe to get it they have to finish ahead of the New Orleans Hornets and more than likely finish as the #1 seed. Personally if the Celtics win 65 games I think KG will get it. That would be a 41 game improvement over last season.

well basketball is a team sport after all and you need a center.

Bynum and Gasol are our centers so yeah they are both a big part of our success, with that said take into consideration that Kobes pressure on Bynum motivated him to hire a special trainer in the summer so he could get better this season and show Kobe that he is legit.

Kobe was also a major part on Bynums offense success by feeding him the ball on a constant basis the way Kobe used to feed Shaq.

I am not saying that Kobe is solely responsible for Bynums improvement, but what I am saying is that Kobe helped to make Bynum better.

as far as Pau, the seamless transition that Pau made into the Lakers does have a great deal to do with Kobe.

Paus skills where already there, but Kobe is helping Pau to put up better numbers than he did in Memphis by taking pressure of Pau and with the great chemestry that they develop.

yesterday during the game I read a post by a Lebron fan that said, I don't ever want to hear again that Kobes team mates suck.

well, ironically yesterday he was playing with the very same team that he played with last year and the difference between last year and this year is Kobe. he changed his game and is now making those scrubby players better (exept Walton for some reason  ) and that is something Lebron has not learned yet.
