Chris Webber has decided to retire from the NBA because of knee problems that have plagued the last five years of his career, according to a source close to ESPN.com.

Webber is expected to formally announce his decision on Wednesday.

I always liked Webber, except when he was on the Kings of course. Not sure what his legacy will be but I always thought of him as a smart baller even with the whole "timeout fab 5" thing. When he was in his prime he was great to watch. Much respect.

Love the guy, no homo.

First NBA player to bring that hip-hop trend to the nba. When he was on, very talented player.

Expect him to come out of retirement again to chase a ring in the 09/10 season.
