[quote] The point could also be made that, by making it an issue, it becomes an issue, or the issue is kept alive by its fire being fueled. All of the above doesn't mean that I'm oblivious to your point, miles. You make some very good points, but all of this belongs in our history, not in our future. The discriminating past of this country should always be remembered, but not kept alive. That's why these things must not become issues.

What exactly are you suggesting? Are people not to be offended when they're depicted as a gorilla? Should people just be colorblind and refuse to recognize race as a factor in our society?

Personally, I don't care if people are purple, brown, white, red, blue, green

^^^

I take exception against anything Japan. For me, as someone from the Philippines, I abhor what they did to our country... Comfort Women being raped all over... throwing babies and catching them with Bayonets... Just for those acts alone it was really hard to think of them as human even in your most 'human sense'. Of course I am not disagreeing with whatever Miles said. It is just that I want to take note that we have different biases and we wish the world were a better place.

Americans were no different too... thinking of us as 'Little Brown Brothers'.
