Maybe if that 40 yr old was Allan Houston. But Malone at 40 was still one of the best conditioned players in the league. It is logical to compare in that case and in the case that Malone had never had a major injury before either. It is also logical to compare it because Malone was a 3rd or 4th option on a team loaded to win the title that year. Bynum would be the 3rd or 4th option on a team loaded to win the title.
