lakers/hornets Friday on ESPN possiblities?

Post#1 » by Bob Saget » Mon Apr 7, 2008 6:26 am

any way this happens, i know they have switched games around now and then (lakers/houston), but come on, whos gonna watch cavs/bulls, and its on at 1030, so they wouldnt even have to cancel it, this could be a huge deciding factor in the mvp

Yeah and that is the mvp problem. If you put Chris Paul on the Cavs instead of Lebron the Cavs would not be as good. If you switched Paul with Kobe the Lakers would not be as good. The MVP is simple, it means most valuable player which is the best player. The best player in the most valuable. Now I understand if your the best player and your team doesn't make the playoffs giving it to somebody else but the difference in 1st place to 6th place in the West could be only 3 games or so. Plus do they not take into account of injuries?

And for the record I have said all year Chris Paul is the best pg in the game and I believe the only players better and more valuable then him are

For sure
Kobe
Lebron

Probably take over Paul
Duncan
KG
Howard

Players that are so close you can make an arguement for them or Paul on who is better (personally I take Paul)

Wade
TMac if he didn't miss so much time every year
Nash (I think it's clear Paul is way better but some may not)
Amare
Iverson and Melo are weird because they should be on this list but for some reason even though they have a great coach great homecourt advantage and awesome teammates they still aren't winning like they should.
Bosh

And I hate that Paul is in the running for turning the Hornets around when the Hornets have an awesome team. DHoward and Lebron don't have teammates as good as Paul does. Look at even Chis Bosh, he is a guy who has turned that team around and he has no help. His team is in the East and still only 7th place but he is basically playing 1 on 5 out there and he is getting them to the playoffs.

Cleaveland and Bulls again? This is like the third time in like a month they televised their crappy game! Cleaveland wouldn't even sniff the playoffs if they were in the west and yet they are on TNT practically every other Thursday. It sure is good to have a charismatic star on your team.
