i'm pretty worried about NO and Golden State.
The former because they have a player who has been playing at the level of Kobe this year and I just believe that team has a lot of components to beat us. GS, i'm just worried about because they are pretty good at home and they can really rip you apart if they got hot in one game. Don't get me wrong I would be gutted to lose to them in a 7 game series but their unpredictability does worry me slightly.
Anyway it probably goes:
San Antonio (still champions)
New Orleans
PHX
Golden State
Utah
Dallas
Houston
Denver
EDIT: Also i'm pretty certain no-one from the Western Conference is winning it all this year, its going to be a dog fight getting out of this conference whereas Boston and Detroit will literally stroll through to the ECF.

Which team is the best fit opponent for us is going to come down to weekly form and injuries, I think. They're all extremely good teams, and very capable of beating the Lakers in the first round. Right now, I wouldn't worry about any one of the other teams and what they're doing.
All efforts and preparation should be focused on defensive intensity and mental sharpness. At this point, our defense isn't even close to being good enough to win the WC, let alone the Celtics or the Pistons.
Sure, Bynum will help our defense, but that doesn't give rest-of-team immunity while he's still out, neither when he comes back.
I want to see some 00-03 Laker like fire and focus for the home stretch. As it stands right now, our defense is rather pathetic. Holding teams to 85 points for the remainder would make me hopeful that we can take the West. If they keep on allowing 100+ points, we can expect an early exit once again. These other teams are very good.
+1
I think our defense will really pick up in the playoffs.

If we are all healthy I only wonder if the other team will win 1 game or not.
The thing that really scares me is not getting homecourt and playing the team that just got rest because they played the Rockets and swept them. I am really hoping the 2 and 7 or 3 and 6 match is us vs Rockets. Also we really need homecourt advantage or else they might rip Kobe off for the MVP again and if they do rob him yet again the MVP award will be a joke for me from now on. It almost already is because MJ should have won it way more then he did and Kobe has been the best player in the league for like 6 years or so and he hasn't won.
If I had to make a list it would be
Spurs
Jazz
Dallas
Hornets
Warriors
Denver
Teams that don't scare me
Rockets- Them making the playoffs is a complete fluke. The 9th place team whoever they will be unless it's the Rockets are alot better then the Rockets.
Suns- (Kobe would go crazy and average 40 points 20 rebounds and 20 assists playing against the team that knocked us out every year which now has Shaq on it)

The Lakers completely dismantled them on their court when we had a center (Bynum) and then barely won when we were on a clinic when Pau went down.
Don't know. Other than the Spurs none of the teams really scare me, and even they appear to be not as dominant... although that's what everyone thinks every year and they win it.
I'd be happy with Houston in the 1st round or maybe Dallas. They'll probably have a psychological barrier when playing us considering how the last 3 games ended.
Chris Paul's pick and roll is unstopable
