I still don't understand why Carl is on our team and Green is a free agent.
Good game though tonight. I was a little nervous but now only 3 victories and they lock up homecourt. I just really wish the last 3 games weren't against the Spurs and Hornets although if Bynum is back by the final 3 games the Lakers should win the rest of the season.

1 game, 5 minutes and you already don't like the guy...

give him a chance, he's rusty and nervous.

Who said I didn't like the guy? I just like Coby Karl more. And I'm sure Ira will play better.

Don't be so presumptuous.

Phil talking Artest:

Sacramento forward Ron Artest didn't play Saturday in the Kings' victory over Denver because of a thumb injury, but the Lakers knew he would play Sunday.

"He's auditioning for a free-agent [contract], so he'll be out there tonight," Jackson accurately predicted beforehand.

Auditioning for the Lakers?

^^I sure hope not. Artest is a horrible offensive player and I sure wouldn't like a mental case like that in the purple and gold just because he can play defense.

He was forcing shot after shot and then settled for some three pointers when he got rejected on every second possesion. I was really disappointed with what I saw.

That's how he plays for the kings. Now imagine how he'd play on the Lakers were his offense isn't needed every night, so he can focus his crazy mind to doing what he does best:playing defense.

IMO his offense isn't as bad although it was today. He averages 20 points per game.

Ron's biggest problem on offense is that he thinks he's the first option. On the kings, it's arguable.

On the Lakers, it's not.

I'd expect him to embrace a Rodman role with the Lakers.

That being said, I can expect a few ill-advised shots now and then, but you can say that about a lot of Lakers.
