Here we go with RJ again, he is ranked way to high. Also I think Shaq should be ranked higher than the 10th spot you have him. And Kidd how do you ahve him in second place????

No way is Bynum the 3rd best center in the league... And its hard to tell if Odom will be a top 10 SF because we havent even seen him play the position for us yet

yup...its Star alright....

anyway... if we way heavy on this season, Bynum way too high. Gasol over Brand. RJ way too high. Up shaq a lil bit.

Give props where its due...David West over Aldridge.

Kobe way too low. make it a +10.

Well, you could disagree about the rankings, but I think his point is valid. We're pretty good @ 4/5 positions.

Bynum, Gasol, and Kobe are top 10 players in their position.

Odom is close to top 10, depending on which Odom you think is the real Odom, and what position you'd choose for him. He'd be top 10 as a PF. A little tougher at SF.

On the other hand, I'm not sure if our PG would be in the top 20. He may not have to be, considering our offense and our personnel.

But the Suns were even better with

Nash - top 3 PG
Marion - top 3 F
Amare - top 3 C

Barbosa - top 20 G

And yet, they couldn't get over the hump in the playoffs.

It's nice to have talent after years of struggling with the lack of it, but now the more important thing is having players who know their roles and can execute them, including defense.

Guys like Rick Fox, Bruce Bowen, Tayshaun Prince, they won't make top 10 lists, but they're indispensable parts to a championship team.

First off Wade is clearly the #2 sg regardless of this year.
I did forget David West and Odom can obviously play sf because he has for the Clippers.
Either way we are the closest team to have 4 players of the top 10 list.
RJ is I think top 3 sf and the numbers prove it and so does his defense.
Shaq is not higher then what I put him because granted he might be playing well now pretty soon he will get real real lazy, miss games and going back to sucking. I take all the centers above him easily.

Lakers only real need is a PG Combo gaurd like Gordon.

The triangle would run so great w/ another 2something guard.

If Farmar went down this team would have a hard time. Derek is playing injured already. Offseason please sign a good PG and bring back the depth.

Not complaining goodluck Critt Lakers need a replacement Crit
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Yeah the whole list is arguable but what list wouldn't be. As for Kidd I do have a high opinion of him but I seriously hope I am wrong or he declines very fast. What pgs would you put over Kidd?

Please somebody else give there list. I want to see other people's rankings. Not based on just this season but overall.
Would anybody mind if I did a top 50-100 of all players regardless of position in this thread?

I am pretty sure AL Jefferson is a Center now. You have imo Bynum way to low and AL to low even if that is him at pf. I would put Amare over Dirk but I can see it. I wouldn't agree with the whole list but it is pretty good.

Only because Minnesota doesnt have a real center... I guarantee you if they were to draft someone like Lopez or Hibbert, Jefferson would be move back to PF.. Much like Amare's situation has been the last 3 years

Dexmor wrote:You have imo Bynum way to low and AL to low even if that is him at pf.

As much as I love Bynum, you cant put him over guys who have proven they can produce consistent stats more multiple (or at least an entire) season.... Had Bynum continued to put up the numbers he was putting up in January then yeah... he is top 3 easily... but we dont know for sure that he would have... therefore he is under Chandler and other guys who have done what Bynum has done for longer

Al Jeff is definitely not rated too low... Until he can lead his team to the playoffs he will not be rated over guys like Pau or Bosh... Pau or Bosh could easily put up Jefferson's numbers on a last place team... But could Jefferson put up his same numbers on a good team? Yet to be seen....

Amare has better numbers than Dirk this season, but Dirk has accomplished far more... leading his team to the finals as a first option... The Suns have never been to past the WCF... And Amare wasnt even the best player on those teams, Nash was.... If the Suns make it to the finals with Amare as their best player, then yes, he will be on Dirk's level
