Could the lakers get the 1 seed and still play dallas??

Post#1 » by may191988 » Mon Apr 14, 2008 4:04 am

assuming the lakers get the 1 seed it seems like they would have to beat dallas cause if denver beats memphis and if dallas loses to the hornets then denver would become number 7 on a head to head tie breaker. i dont know what the scenario would be if golden state, denver, and dallas all tie at 50 games.

but this is kinda bad news IMO. i know the lakers have beat dallas more times than not but they have all been tight games and denver would be sooooo much easier IMO. what do u guys think?

ok i tried to catch the numbers and in case of a 3 way tie between DAL, DEN, and GSW, dallas and denver both have 4-3 records amongst all tied team with GSW only having a 2-6 record so they would be left out but Dallas and Denver would still be tied so the tie breaker would be the conference record which would go to dallas.

ugh how could dallas lose tonight??!!! this makes me very uncomfortable now i was hopin the lakers could coast through denver not have to battle every game with dallas =(
