Yup. And that's a virtue. I've always been a firm proponent of only making the trades that undoubtedly makes the team better. I'm just glad that Mitch keeps a cool head and goes for high score deals only. His reputation took some hard hits, but he got his moneys worth. The truth always has the longer legs.

Good points, Minhee. But I still think he should have kept it private. "Do something, and do it now!" happened for the world to hear in the post game interview, just minutes after elimination. Nobody likes a whiner and that reporter took his whining to town, which in turn triggered Kobe's "speaking out", calling for heads et cetera. I understand him and I can relate to the frustration, but I don't agree with how he dealt with it in the media.

mitch's mo is patience. patience in developing the youth. patience in not trading your promising big for a very aging pg. patience in not trading your star when he goes public.
all's well that ends well

Yup , I give him props even when Buss went public and told the entire world that he didnt have a problem trading Kobe , Mitch still showed Kobe his commitment to build a team around Kobe .
Im proud of Mitch for sticking to his GUNS and not falling into the whole "Lets trade Kobe and lets trade him now" .

Regardless, we have a shot at the championship and I think we can all agree upon that as the only important thing. The past is the past.

This is about how I feel as well.

Against all odds, everything worked out in the end. We have a very good team, with a bright future, and that is my only real concern as a Laker fan.

Well Buss had to show everyone who runs the joint; Dr. Buss is a shot caller. After all, he has the keys to the palace. :o
