I see things in 3s
phx: nash, shaq, amare
SA: parker, ginobli, duncan
celts: garnett, pierce, allen
LAL: Bryant, Gasol, Odom
I like ours best. I know there's more factors at play like bench but here's how I see it.
Can we win without Bynum?

Then you are underrating your fave team.
At least they can make the finals, the NBA Finals.
And, as you know, the Suns are down 0 - 2.
So, our eventual opponent may be the Spurs, whom we can easily beat in not more than 6 games. They are the champs, but they're not the same. Also they're so slow at times ?!
...We can beat everyone in the West without Bynum !

We can win the west without Bynum but in my opinion, we have no chance in hell against the Celtics. All players 100% healthy and up to game speed before game one, and maybe, maybe can we win in seven games.
I think the entire basketball world is under rating this current Celtics team. They have THREE bonafied franchise players in their starting line-up. All three play great defense and great offense and are in their career prime and all three possess leadership abilities and are unselfish and very smart. To add to that, they have a young point guard star on the rise, who also knows how to play defense, and, they have a more than adequate defensive Center in Perkins. Then, off the bench they have the luxury of bringing in a second five full of NBA starter quality players in Cassell, Posey, Big Baby Davis, Leon Powe and Luther Head. We're not talking a chump team here. This might be one of the best teams assembled in decades. Personally, I think they would have had a good chance to win a series against all of the Lakers three-peat teams.
My wife and her entire family are from Boston, so there's no describing how much I hate this, but I have to call a spade a spade. Even without a coach, this team could win 60 games, because they already have four coaches on the floor in KG, Allen, P2 and Cassell.
Having said that, without Bynum and Ariza at full speed, they'd take us down in five games at the most. With Ariza and Bynum 100% at game speed, if at all, maybe we could win it in a super tight seven game series.
Why? Our defense. We simply have nobody to match the power, strength and brilliance of Paul Pierce. Ariza is it, or we don't stand a chance. We also have no chance avoid getting dominated in the post without a fully healthy Bynum. Even with him in our line-up, the Celtics seemed to be able to control the paint. I'd like our low-post chances much better sporting Bynum AND Gasol, then we might actually have a shot at not being dominated down low

I believe can beat the Celtics without Bynum, provided we don't put a foot wrong anytime during that series. The Celtics have had trouble when a swing man goes berserk at them and it'd be surprising to see what damage an appearance of SUPER KOBE in game 1 can do to that entire series. When I say super Kobe, I mean the one that put up 62 in 3 against Dallas.
It could hurt their egos and not all of them are tough and macho like they seem to be behind KG (yes I'm talking about Ray Ray hiding behind KG there) and Lamar is a match up hell for anyone not names KG on that team.
It'd be interesting and Phil would bring out something special in his game plan if we were to reach that situation.
Bottom Line: I don't see us losing in the finals if we get there. The best player in the game is just too hungry to fall in 5 games.

I think we can win without Bynum to an certain extent as you can see from his absent, but the question should be how much longer can we win without AB. This team is already deep without Drew and with him there it would be even more scary, I would rather have him on the floor though.

Dont Get Kobeterized!
