But after thinking about it, I think you meant a guy to guard Pierce so when we meet them in the finals over the next few years, we'll have a chance at winning.

That's exactly what I meant. Thanks for translating my thoughts.

Every player has hot/cold streaks. It's going to take a hell of a lot more than a few nice offensive outbursts against the Nuggets to change the fans' perception of the enormous mistake that is Luke Walton's contract.

your confusing two different statements and putting them together...

lol all you like, but i never said ,nor has anyone up to this point that "the idea that players have this intangible ability to "step it up" in the playoffs."....

carry on...

These 3 games in the playoffs compared to the 82 he has played he has earned his money. I mean please "where are you guys now" come on like you were never pissed at the things he did. As Laker fans we are hard on our players as we have to be. As a Laker fan I expect 100% from the players and If they dont give me 100% then as a Laker fan I have the right to ripe them up and chew them down. That even goes for KB24. In this country thats called freedom of speech.

what are you, running for office?

the true haters know what they said, if that aint you dont worry about it.

saying someone is garbage, or whatever else, when they are injured is just ignorant and cold.

also it makes you (the "royal" you), look like a bandwagon douche bag, when the guy ends up playing better.

my point i guess, and this is responding to my detractors, is when talking about athletes(humans), it is best to act like they are a stock, and not be so reactionary....it is a fine line to tread between marriotti/plaschke buffoonery and passionate fan, but it is also a worthy goal.

Luke is having a good series but this does not justify his crappy regular season. Also, there is no evidence for us to believe that he can continually do this over the remainder of the playoffs. He did what most athletes do. Play well during their contract year, then fall off once they get paid. Hopefully Sasha doesn't become one of these tragic tales after this season. But Luke is garbage, and his contract is a burden. I'm glad to see him playing well though.

He is a good player and surely would be above average bench player or a slightly below average starter or a decent 5th player but he needs to be healthy and is to slow to be our starting sf anyway because he can't help Kobe on D.

i think that was part of my point, he was injured and attempted poorly to play through it, given his fathers injury plagued career, and his own frailties, i can understand why he was mum about it...

but the way cats just bailed on him...

no he didn't. in my endless attempt to defend lamar and luke i decided to look it up. there was absolutely no coverage on it except for our very own game thread. i forgot exactly what happened to odom but it wasn't what happened to kobe.
