Melo: My Shot's Off, Not My Effort

The face of the franchise has had a nearly permanent frown the past seven days. But if this playoff series ends Monday, Carmelo Anthony will simply sigh and shake it off.

He says he has tried pretty much everything else.

"Can't nobody question how hard I'm out there playing," Anthony said after the Nuggets' 102-84 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. "Can't nobody do that."

Well, that pretty much says it all.

I think we'll see some change in Denver this summer. Same with the Suns.

Those changes must be drastic. The Suns, Nuggets so on have to build teams to compete with the twin towers of Los Angeles. I don't want to imagine how well we will play next season as I want to enjoy this run. I just hope those teams equip well enough to at least make it worth watching. Enjoy this series with the nuggets its going to get ugly when the Jazz roll. Its going to be hard for me to hold my tongue against ignorant Jazz fans but ill try my best.

I don't understand why everyone is blaming Carmelo and AI for their failure. The simple fact is that the better team won the game! I can try my butt off, but I still can't beat Kobe one on one. Sometimes, efforts can't replace natural given talent and chemistry.

I don't understand how there d is bad. They have Kmart and Camby who are 2 great defenders. I would trade for Artest and get another peremiter defender and throw them in with Iverson. I actually would trade Melo but I know Denver would never do that.

Allow me to quote another man looking to be a future NBA GM:

["I've never seen any man [on that NBA FINALS 95'-96' Sonics Roster] talk more trash on/off the court, outside of Gary Payton, than my man George Karl" -Charles Barkley (today on pti, oh yes, I watch tv, too.)]

["I love you George, you my boy, but the same thing gonna happen next year" -Charles Barkley (I think it was one of the last two nights?)]

 :rofl2:

perfect quotes hahahaha.
