i would take the risk of either puttin kobe or odom at the pg position so u guys could have the fab five lineup. kobe, artest, odom, gasol, and bynum would be more than enough to win a title

If he signs for the MLE, I'm guessing your rotation would be:

Fisher/Farmar
Kobe/Sasha
Artest/Walton
Gasol/Odom
Bynum/Turiaf

Seems like a bit of a waste to have both Odom and Turiaf as bigs off the bench, both deserve more minutes than they would get in this situation. I'm guessing the minutes would be something like:

Gasol (32), Bynum (28 ), Odom (28 ), Turiaf (8 )

Which is really not enough minutes for any of your bigs - you could have some pretty unhappy players. I guess you could alleviate the stress by giving LO minutes at the 3, but with Artest and Walton, there aren't many minutes there either. This also assumes than Radman and Ariza are gone.

IF your bigs are willing to accept more limited minutes, and if Artest behaves, that is definitely a nasty team, one which could win quite a few championships. The offense is obviously great, the defence is fantastic (every starter is somewhere from a solid to an elite defender), and the bench is very, very good too.

1. The Kings probably wont trade with us, but Artest could force Sac to do it or risk loosing him for nothing. So lets entertain the thought just for the hell of it.

2. If we offer Farmar, Ariza and Mihm, we could give Artest a deal that starts off at about 7.5 million.

3. We could then try to trad Vlade for an expiring. I know it may sound like nobody wants Vlade's contract, but it't not that bad. I think D'Antoni would love to have Vlade instead of Jerome James. Thats an easy swap.

4. We have Odom for one more year, he could accept a 5-6 million dollar paycut or we could simply let him walk. We would still be a loaded squad with Kobe/Gasol/Artest/Bynum.

5. Farmar is a good young point guard to give up, but we could easily fill the back up point guard position with a free agent, like Chris Duhon or Tyronn Lue, both would be a leadership and defensive upgrade. Farmar would obviously be a key factor in Sac trading with us, along with how much Artest lobbys for L.A.

6. Then again, a lot of us thought Farmar and/or Odom would have to be included in any Gasol trade scenarios, so I could be totallly off on this, but we cant count on teams helping us, especially the Kings and especially after the Gasol trade.....But you never know...

DO IT MITCH

OR we could send

Vlad Rad
Ariza (exp)
Mihm (exp)
2012 1st
2008 2nd

FOR

Artest (MLE)
Thomas

Radman is less garbage than Thomas so Kings win a little more here..

God, you think that other teams are so stupid???? Relax, the only way to get him would be via Odom or Bynum trade... Most realistic:

LO, Ariza, Radman or Walton for Artest plus expiring....
NO WAY, I like current team much more.

The only way we get Artest is if he opts out of the last year of his contract which will pay him about $8 million and signs with us for the MLE which is approximately $6 million for five years (max length)...

A package of Mihm, Ariza, Picks, etc. wont get it done in my opinion unless Sac was in the East... Too much history... Look at all the crap Memphis has absorbed with their bad trade...
