How do you figure gifts to co-workers as a tax write off? I wouldn't be claiming that on my taxes if I were you.

It depends on how his business corporation structure is laid out. You would be surprised as to what you could write off when it comes to business. I have owned a business for 10 years and my tax-guy is a 35 year old retired IRS guy.

Athletes have a wider range of tax benefits that have known to be loose interpertations of the business tax law, considering they make alot of money tied to playing basketball. Basketball and all that it surrounds is their business. Its up to your accountant to find those benefits for you.I am sure they have some pretty sharp people.

not saying he did use this a tax write off and not saying he needed too and I certainly dont need your tax advice.

but thanks.

should have engraved "ITS OUR TIME!"

And in response to someone asking if kwame got a watch...
It would be a waste of money cuz he would drop it as soon as he tries to put it on...
Greatest comment I've ever received.

As long as it aint the ones with red lights. I hate those now.

Btw, Java is not on our team anymore...

Furthermore, my java programs are seriously f'ked up on my PC. Can't use limewire whatsoever b/c of it.

I'm going to eliminate the programs once and for all now.

How is that not a write-off? You'll find "gifts" right between hotel/restaraunt and mileage. it's absolutely a write-off.

You can give gifts to family and charity. There are business gifts and other things as well. But nothing that would cover $9K gifts to coworkers.

Those that receive the gifts are not "co-workers" unless Kobe pays the bill for the Lakers or he has a company that employs them.

Kobe, and just about every athlete and or person who makes a lot of money incorporates themselves. They have business and tax helpers that allow them to write off expenses and the like.

Your simplistic comment that you can give gift to family and charity really illustrates you are not familiar with both personal and business tax affairs.

I wrote off a laptop as a business expense, except I used it mostly to surf the web and post on realgm.

It got stolen.
