A small voice in the back of my head told me that Bynum should suck it up and help us in the playoffs, then get surgery in the offseason. Hell, I wonder how many players in the league play all year despite discomfort and pain in their knees. Unfair of me, selfish as a fan, but hey, couldn't help but think that. Sorry everybody.

I was too, even after hearing Phil say that it will be difficult to add him to line up without interupting his rotation.

I was going to ask you guys the same thing, i noticed that he was in a suit. Are we able to add him to the roster since he didnt play prior to the playoffs started? I believe we are held to a maximum of 13 players i believe can anyone explain more or help me figure if we can switch players in an out of the final roster? thanks.

it's easy to say that now that they've had the surgery and didn't find anything structurally wrong. not one of the three doctor's he saw were willing to clear him to play. so the lakers and bynum should just suck it up and chance a 10-15 year career when they didn't know what was going on?

i think they did the right thing. i'd rather see them take care of a young stud than chance anything for immediate gratification without actually knowing what the situation was. he will be our franchise player once kobe's past his prime.

snaq answered that question for me quite a few pages back in this thread. the playoff roster can be changed from game to game.

Increase in Playoff Roster Size:

Playoff roster size will be expanded from 13 to 15 players, with each team designating 12 active players and up to three inactive players prior to each game.

this was written on page 53. don't say you don't have time to read that far back because you do post a lot and long ass posts at that.

Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee today in New York, it was announced today by the team.

The procedure, which took 30 minutes and was performed by Dr. David Altchek, consisted of removing some cartilage debris and smoothing some rough spots on the underside of the kneecap.

Bynum is expected to make a full recovery by the start of training camp.
