he's got a year left on the contract. He'll get moved next year as a talented expiring in likelyhood.

I'd love to have Sheed coming off the bench. That would be insane. With Bynum & Gasol shoring up the 4 & 5, Sheed's presence off the bench would only bolster our offense and defense. The Showtime Lakers were able to take former malcontents and transform them into integral parts of a Championship Formula.

he is making something like $13mil next year, maybe if we stll had Kwame Brown, but I don't think we have enough contracts to add up to that, so if he wants the MLE two years from now..

definately maybe!

The only way it'd really work would be a Odom for Sheed Swap which doesn't make sense for the Lakers.

I can't see the Lakers needing Sheed unless they moved Bynum for some package they couldn't refuse.

Absolutely not unless we get him cheap. If Bynum comes back were is he gonna play? Maybe Sheed would come off the bench but I doubt it and maybe they would give him up for cheap but not to us.

Getting Chauncey in a deal centered around Lamar would be nice (if we're talking about Pistons players).

rasheed wallace would never agree to come off the bench at this point in his career.. as great of a teammate as he may be, his ego is currently too big to accept that role..

as to adding sheed to our starting 5, my answer is no simply because our core is currently built to be one of the elite teams in the league for the next few years.. any changes to our core in the coming years should only be done for the purpose of improving the team for the longterm.. sheed is too old to factor into our future and as such does not fit in..
