I like the kid's confidence, but I think trying to chase 72 wins next season is just plain getting ahead of yourself. Next season is irrelevant... hell I'm not even thinking to Game 3 of the Finals yet.

I think Drew is right. Once this team gels & if they stay healthy, I think they could challenge for the record

Man though the surgery didnt do much. If Bynum was willing to play hurt like Kobe and Fish the Lakers would be up 2-0 heading back to LA to finish them off.

I'm a little ticked Bynum has gonbe down in the play-offs 3 years running.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Not to rain on your parade.....

1. why is this guy talking about next year when the entire team should have its focus on beating Boston. Seems like a selfish comment that is only a distraction this time of year

2. Shouldn't he stay healthy for a full year before he starts woofing about win records

He's injured and needs to look forward to something if he can't play in the NBA FINALS!

How much is it killing the kid that he can't help the guys out and trust me, we NEED his help. Our defensive rebounding in key moments cost us dearly and with this back on board next season, I don't blame him for getting excited.

At this point in the series being down 0-2 I need some optimism and reading about Bynum gives me just that. Not meaning to go off topic but if the Lakers don't match Boston's intensity man for man then we'll lose in 5.

Having said that, GO LAKERS! We miss you Bynum!

I have no idea what's going to happen in this particular series. Lakers could win the next 4 games for all I know. I mean... the media has them picked to win in 5 or 6 games... so I gotta assume they are expected to win the next 4.

But next year... although I think the Lakers will be a great team... they aren't getting out of the West. Better make the most of this series as it happens.

It's good to be optimistic though. There will be better teams though. Don't set yourself up for this massive letdown just because of Andrew Bynum.
