Re: Andris Biedrins is overpaid
It's actually $54 million over 6 years.
The rest are incentives.

Re: Andris Biedrins is overpaid
He's only 22 and he's done something Andrew hasn't yet. Been consistent and healthy for 2 years. He averaged a double double (well real close) for 2 years with moderate minutes and touches.
Between Beans, Monta, Bogut, Okafor, Deng and probably Smith I think we have a pretty good idea of what Bynum will AT LEAST get.
If he goes 75-80 games and is like 18-11 and 2 blocks then he can try and push for the full 80 mil, but if he's not healthy all season or stalls out at like 15-10 but still shows that he's capable of improving then he's probably better off in the 60-70 mil range.
IF he wants to sign now, ahead of time I think he should be limited to aroun 65-70 mil, thats the price you should pay for not yet proving yourself completely. Maybe add an incentive or a player option after 2 years so if he's really dominating that he can get out and get the full amount ala Gilbert Arenas.

Re: Andris Biedrins is overpaid
Okafor's 72m and Biedrins 63 sets the grid for Bynum. If he's healthy and working it he'll be in the Okafor territory, if not as dominant, he may ask for Biedrins money.
