Assuming we make the Finals, I would want nothing other than facing the dreaded C's. Even if we had won last years Finals against them, I'd still want to face them and try to beat them again.
Nothing personal, but beating the C's is specially sweet.

This was locked on the GB............................I can already see how it's going to be on Christmas Day. Kefa461 was the only one with the guts to come here. Laker fans we're going to have a lot of run ins with the Celtic fans this season.

I honestly don't see how everyone can be so optimistic. Boston has Paul Pierce.

The GOAT.

Big Bird wrote:I think you know what I meant. Of course they were in control the entire series, I won't argue with that.

But fact is, that each team had a chance to walk out with a win in the first 5 games (with game 1 obviously being the one that was out of reach the soonest). Game 2, we turned the blowout in a 2 point game with 40 some seconds to go; Game 3 was competitive to the end and Game 4 was the mirror picture of Game 2 with the difference being the we know what. Game 5 was a grind out game til the end, won with the steal and dunk in the vaining moments.

I think that would qualify as being pretty competitive... as opposed to people (usually C's fans and those who don't like the Lakers) portraying the Finals as a 4-0 sweep with a 20 point differential. :)

A few of the games were fairly competitive -- I think you'd expect that in the NBA Finals.

Otherwise, they soundly outplayed us for the vast majority of the series.

The rally in Game 2 does little to disguise the fact that we were getting rolled by 24 with about eight minutes left. I take no solace in the fact that we pulled off a big rally to make the end result a lot prettier than it deserved to be.

The big difference between that and Game 4 -- we rallied after the Celtics had already called off the dogs, while they were within two going into the fourth quarter in L.A. The complextion of the games couldn't have been any more different.

Plus, the most important detail -- they won, which put us down 3-1 and made whatever happened after that pretty much meaningless. No way were we going to come back from 3-1 down, with the last two games on the road, against a 66-win team.

Add it all up, and they were clearly the better team, by a pretty distinct margin.

Yep........................he just can't be contained.

I'm glad to hear Laker fans admit it, you have nobody who can stop Paul Pierce. Maybe you can try Sasha-the-machine-Vujacic on him, after he did so well guarding Ray Allen.

Seriously, I gave your team props last year as I promised.

But honestly, lets not talk ish when we can all agree that last years title was a fluke, so with that in mind, let me explain.

You guys areNT going to be that LUCKY again, the gift of love has been given to your team after what 21 years, a Paul Pe Pe Pierce has seen his greatest achievement that he can ever see, and K.G and Ray Allen have come to the end of RING CHASING, so as far as who will let guard Pe Pee Pierece, we will find out in Dec.
Good Luck to you and your team, and all I can say is keep RUBBING that leprechaun.

Oh and All I can hear the Laker Fans screaming..........

Titles this decade for us 3 for Celtics 1.......score board...............Lakers.

Get the Vaseline Boston ya gonna need it !

Seeing as the high number of fouls called on the Lakers during last years championship in Game 2 the Lakers would have been champs this year.

Anyway if the refs don't make BS calls we have a chance otherwise it might repeat.

Not at all, even though the reffs did call some Jacked up calls.
It was our bad defense that was the main reason we lost, PERIOD.
Its wrong of us to sit there and blame the reffs for our mistakes, I mean Rad was basically shouldnt have played or guraded Pierce.
Also you cant take away the Cs heart and desire to win, they wanted it more than we did and we basically gave it to them on a silver plater........ But Skip em hopefully we learned from our mistakes and we got Bynum and Ariza back so let see what happens in Dec when we face them again....
All I know is Pierce better bring his wheelchair with him...

Game2 + Game4 = Could of gone both ways.

It's scary funny how we could have been the champs, playing at 75%.

This year, with an improved roster + the addition of the new edition of Bynum, we're ready to rock and steamroll our way to the chip.

Pau didn't help much, he's no match for KG and I'll never blame Odom, despite whatever he's lacking. Radman shouldn't be starting, there are better guys than him on the bench. Kobe I think was broken down by the result of Game 2 and or 4 and so.. once you see that something is setup against you, usually you can't do much. He tried to compensate and win single handedly but they shut him down good. :(
