I wonder if all those people who laughed at us when we tried to justify the trade on the General Board will be issuing an apology. I won't hold my breath. I know I quoted the fact the the Memphis GM said Marc was a top 5 pick but that didn't matter he was only a second round throw-in to that crowd.

I take it you don't think he has an NBA career ahead of him? I think he does, but if his coach keeps him on the bench, it'll be tough for him to show what he's got to offer. I thought it was sad to see him go. I really liked his game.

I don't think throwing in Sun instead of Marc was an option. The memphis gm said himself that Marc Gasol would be a top 10 draft pick if he were in the 2008 draft. They were pretty high on him.

I don't think anybody is saying Marc is better than Pau, don't hate on Marc if people are praising him now. He probably will hit the rookie wall and he definitely won't have a lot of nights like last night, but when this season is all said and done he'll be a near double double center. Look at it this way he's worlds better than the former #1 pick MIlicic. Shoot the guy they picked up with our 2008 1st rounder (Darrell Arthur) is better than Milicic.

There's no way I'd take back the trade for Pau, but I agree with everyone else in here in saying we sure as hell didn't rip off the Grizz as bad as they made it out to be. They're in rebuild mode acquiring young talent, it wouldn't have been fair for Pau to have to sit through 4 years of rebuilding while he was in his prime (like Kobe almost did).
