Trevor - the Ghost

Post#1 » by lakersfanatic » Tue Nov 11, 2008 4:56 pm

Trevor "The Ghost" Ariza

Jackson found an interesting way to describe Trevor Ariza's innate ability to make plays off the ball, whether it's tipping passes in the lane, slipping between defenders for offensive rebounds or cutting to the basket for layups.

"He's like a ghost out there," Jackson said. "Like a shadow. Just all of a sudden he shows on a screen and he's gone. He's a blip and he's away. He runs the court like that. He's a stealth player more than you'd say (of) a person that infuses the team with energy. But his presence is certainly felt."

I can see a new nickname for him already. lol
He's been great defensively and offensively. If only we had a full healthy Ariza during the finals.
Seeing him play in the 2nd half of the Houston blow out game was awesome. I mean the guy was everywhere. I think he literally got us out of our slump of the first half. Anyways.. just wanna give him some more props for his effort.

Now go posterize them Ariza lol

Trevor is gold...He's going to be the Lakers starting 3 for years to come. That block he had on Stackhouse was one of the best blocks I've ever seen. He stopped mid air and made sure he didn't foul it was fantastic.

The Ariza is starting to turn into another one of the most lopsided trades the league has seen. The Lakers gave up nothing and unloaded salary. No matter how much Phil likes Luke he will not leave the end of the bench unless there is fould trouble or blowouts.

trevor made his presence well known tonight

13/6/1/3/1, and he was everywhere tonight

especially that dunk, diving to the floor to control the ball, swatting stack in the corner

The Ghost should be someone like Coby Karl. That kid is pale as a ghost.

He's Spiderman. And I have a picture to prove it:

Look how many legs he has. Seriously, though, there's something spiderman-like in the way he does things.
