Anytime we get a W it is always a good thing.....now here is the good.
- Vlad Radwent 5 for 5 from downtown which was a VERY pleasant surprise. It obviously gave us a big boost and probably was the difference in the game.
- Ariza and Odom was solid off the bench once again.
- Sasha hit a few key shots
- Farmar had some good shot
- Our defense pretty much shut their offense down outside of Shaq having his way in the paint.
The bad
- Gasol and Bynum was pretty much outplayed by Shaq/Amare...and Amare didn't even bring his A game nor his B game for that matter. I guess the same can be said for our bigs. But all in all their 2 played better than our 2.
- Kobe may have had a game high, but shot 8 for 23...i don't really recall him having a good offensive night this year except the game in Denver. His shot really hasn't been there so far, luckily we haven't really needed it.
- Bynum still has that mental block against a stronger guy than him
- While Farmar hit some nice shot, he also took some really bad ones and even blew a few layups.
- Derek Fisher is still a one dimensional chucker.
We were definitely the better team tonight, but to say this was a dominant win is not even close to the truth. We still have a lot of work to do, but I wouldn't say we got the Suns number. We still play them 3 more times and I highly doubt tonight will stick in their head where they'll just roll over and die. I expect this rivalry to heatup as the season goes on.
Good win tonight but now its time to focus on the new look Denver. Chancey Billups always give us a hard time so hopefully we don't pull another Detroit like performance.

If our goal tonight was to rip out the hearts of Suns fans and totally smash their will into oblivion then it seems that we have succeeded just by reading their posts on their board. Their fans are in turmoil and are acting like the world is imploding around them. I saw some posts to trade Nash and Amare, most fans want D'antoni back. They absolutely hate their half court offense apparently. Tonight's win was solid. We did it with suffocating defense and impressively without much offense from Pau or Bynum. Suns used to be our biggest rivals (although it still feels good to beat the crap out of them) but there isn't a team I want to beat more than the Celts. To think. How scary would the Suns be if they just didn't trade all of their picks and players away. I don't even think they needed to trade for Shaq. They had so much talent on their team, imagine a line up that has Nash bringing the ball down the court with Joe Johnson and Marion at the wings, and Amare in the middle?
If they would of re signed Kurt Thomas they would of been set. Not to mention all those picks that they traded for cash. Management has really mishandled that organization. They could of been a real thorn in our sides for years to come. Oh well. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
