I watched it over again last night when everybody went to bed. Very good game. The Lakers were the dominating aggressor from start to finish. I expect a complete role reversal in Boston.

I watched the replay at midnight on ESPN. The Lakers were really aggressive from the beginning. I loved it. In the beginning, I was wondering if the Lakers can maintain that intensity. I knew the C's could. I've actually watched 2 of their games this season and they played with incredible intensity the entire game and both of those were on the road.

I was really glad the Lakers maintained that intensity throughout the game.
I'm really worried about the Lakers on the road against the C's. I agree that it will be a different story in Boston.

That's where you have to man up lakerRD. The Magic & Kareem Lakers lived for games like that. They used to go into Boston & let it all hang out! Even if they didn't win they would show them they could play on that floor come Finals time. That is what this Lakers team has to do also. If we play them right down to the wire or especially if we win, it sends a huge message into Boston that we are a different team. Last year was last year & we will see what happens this year.

I liked that Kobe didn't settle for too many outside jumpers and play into what the Celtics want him to do. He was often in attack mode and kept us in the game. I am of the belief that we must look to get Gasol involved in order to be successful. He needs closer to 20 shots per game..

I think Boston had more points in the paint and it looked like we were going to fade like last year. But the two 3's from LO were HUGE...

However, down the stretch Kobe put the ball on the floor had the double team chase after him, throwing their defensive strategy for a loop. He made the right play and found Gasol near the free throw line. That boy is usually money from there... we must continue to make them pay for doubling hard like that.

great win.

ddubb wrote:Just wanted to pop over and say Nice Job tonight. The Lakers wanted it more and took care of business. Probably the best game I have ever seen Pau play. Hopefully we can meet again in the Finals and keep the rivalry going.

As a Celts fan, I think this was a positive loss. That was as good as LA will play, and very sub-par for Bos yet the game was still within reach down the stretch. After this silly streak we needed some good tape to watch to improve, and now we have it.

Just curious, I have noticed you guys talking a lot of trade lately over here. Do you still feel you need to change your roster or does this win make you want to stand pat now?

cheers and happy holidays.

i know this is a late response, but i didnt touch the cpu during christmas...

anyway i appreciate ddubb being classy and coming over here in peace..and all that...

but what made this win so impressive, not the final score, and even more than the lakers willingness to match intensity and chippyness,

was that the lakers played the celtics game, they played the c's game, through and through, and beat them at it...

and the lakers have played better than this, but not against necessarily against better defense...

what we all saw on x-mas day was the lakers matching the c's defense, whilst having the better offense...

but we all knew that anyway, right?
