Why is Marbury back in LA again????

Post#1 » by TonyMontana » Sat Jan 17, 2009 8:23 pm

He went from buying tickets for the Knicks game, and now attending another game and giving interviews at half times in our tunnels, whats next, hangin out with Jimmy in his box???
What is his intention?
I mean is it me or is this guy becoming a soup opera with all his interviews while he attends LA games.
Why is this guy around our team so much now?
Is there something brewing in the back we dont know about?

Stephon Marbury attended Friday's game between the Lakers and Magic in Los Angeles and gave an update on his current situation with the Knicks.

"It's a billion-dollar company against me; basically, that's what it is," Marbury said in the tunnel at halftime"I'm standing my ground after I made an offer to them. For me, what am I going to do against a billion-dollar company? I can't beat a billion-dollar company so I got to stand still and just wait."

i doubt the knicks cut him and let him come to us for a little of nothing. it looks like they are just going to sit him for the remainder of the year.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

He's basically on vacation, so what better place to spend it than L.A.?

Was he really sitting with Jeanie ? Cause you know that's tampering no matter how you cut it. Just think about a week and a half ago Boston fans was ready to drop they panties for Starbury ! My take is that he ain't playing this season.

Jeanie and I are really cool,'' Marbury said. ``She invited me to come to the game. I wanted to come before, too. I want to be around it, I miss it.'' Marbury is living in Los Angeles, working out at a facility in Manhattan Beach and hiking in Runyan Canyon near Hollywood.

This is the most I could find about it. There are other quotes though where he says that he needs to get the buyout done before he could think of anything else. Interesting anyways that Jeanie Buss would be "cool" with someone like Marbury.

Recent news on espn states something about him giving back 1mil so that he could hopefully finally get a buyout to go to Boston, the reported preferred team.

Maybe he was at the game to determine he we had won, he would go with us hehe.

Anyways, i doubt ny would let him sign with boston since they'll see him more often if he were to go to a west coast team. Maybe something is brewing.... maybe it's the NBA wanting to add more drama to our manhood daily lives lol.

Marbury's been given permission by the Knicks to seek deals with other teams. The Lakers won't get penalized for tampering.

As for what he was doing at the game - well, since he can't play for the Cs yet, Danny Ainge has him doing some advanced scouting for now. :P
