See you in finals!

Post#1 » by klemen4 » Tue Jan 20, 2009 3:01 pm

Watching a few Western teams play I must admit LAL is a clear favorite to advance to the finals. As I see it this is my opinion on top 9 Eastern conference teams:

LAL

SAS-Old, solid team, playing the same style now for 10 years, 3 realy good players and a bunch of role players, with a great coach...but their date is expired and they just dont have enough to beat LAL.

NOH-Paol is great, but their style of play is not good, to slow, to much one on one...with no home court advantage they dont have enough to beat lal, also Byron Scott doesnt have it.

DAL-For me with Sloan they are top 4 team in West and maybe the most dangerous to LAL...they just know how to play, great home court record, great bench..my favorite for Western conference finals

------
DEN-No experience, no defense
HOU-Rick Adelman
POR-To young
DAL-Dirk just aint enough
PHO-Shaq and Nash on the downfall, not buying into Porter system

To conclude, See you in Finals.

It's not guaranteed that we'll get there either. In fact, our road there is probably tougher since we'll likely have to go through 2/3 50-win teams. Again.

I'm assuming you meant Utah for the 4th team?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that LA makes the Finals. It looks like Orlando, Boston and Cleveland are the three most likely opponents.

it's even more unpredictable now than it was last year. Although we've been winning games and only losing by a little except for the horrific kings game... we're doing pretty well but not tearing other teams apart...

just have to wait i guess

If Boston were in the west and LA in the east I think we'd meet in the finals. Right now, though... I think the east is filled with teams built specifically well to end the Celtic run in a 7 game series. Cleveland, Atlanta, or Detroit could all play badboy styles that would give Boston fits.

I want to see it, last night game proved to me that I'd rather the Celtic rivalry than team Crabcakes. Still, I'm thinking you guys will have your work cut out before that happens.

I'm sorry but the Bynum/Howard Rivalry starts this year. We're gonna see Orlando. See you in an early playoff exit to the HAwks.
