Blame is on Zen Master!

Post#1 » by vinnycorleone » Wed Jan 28, 2009 5:19 pm

I completely blame that loss on Phil last night against the Bobcats.

I don't think I've questioned a 9 time NBA Champion ever but last night he screwed up the rotation completely.

1. Pau was having a horrible night and he kept playing him late in the fourth. We played much better with Bynum on the floor.

2. Inbound play with 3 left on the shot clock our lineup was: D-Fish, Sasha, Luke, Lamar, Bynum.
Are you kidding me? I don't see who you don't put Pau and Bynum in at the PF/C spots so that if we jack up a 3 we have two 7 footers for a rebound. And Lamar should have been the inbounder and D-Fish and Sasha should have been working for a quick 3. NEVER PUT IN LUKE FOR A LATE GAME SITUATION!

3. He left Kobe in to pick up his 3 and 4th fouls in the 3rd with 2 minutes left in the 3rd. Kobe usually sits that last minute of the 3rd anyway so why not just REST HIM!

there were other things that were minor but it's all good. we all have our bad days

A lose is a lose and when you lose, there are a lot of things that you can go back to and start placing blame on..................Hell if you wanted to go back and knit pick at different things, you could go back to Kobe's Technical...............we'd of won by 1 at end of regulation, no need for OT.

But, I would agree and say the line up at end of game with Walton and Bynum sitting soooo long at end of 3rd and at the start of (well all but last 5:50 of 4th......which I am still mind boggled about) would be 2 very Key areas for me.

Phil screwed it up when he pulled Bynum. Bynum was stopping their offense and scoring at will. What did he block 4 shots in 5 possessions then get pulled for Pau who was having a horrible night? Then the bobcats go right back to going at the rim. C'mon Phil, I think he kinda knew he screwed up and wanted to get Bynum back in but didn't want to show that he knew he screwed up. Probably cost us the game. oh well.

We lose in the short run, but we'll win in the long run. Get over it.

haha team loss... Odom flubbed his hero attempt(also shot brick from the line), Sasha with the John Wayne missed three, Jordan denied Bynum the pass on the block., Pau had a bad game...

Write it off... how many have we won this year?

I really don't care about this loss. Doesn't affect us much.

they'll add up if Lakers keep getting complacent^

and I agree it's a team loss,
Phil made blunders, players couldn't hit key shots
and Pau Gasol couldn't play an average game at least against Boris Diaw?
Come on

If you guys read what I wrote I said: "oh well, we all have our bad days

I was serious about that. I'm not saying its a big problem I'm just saying Phil messed up that game. He is to blame for it. I still believe that but that doesn't mean I hate phil now. Haha I'm the biggest Phil Jackson fan but doesn't mean he wasn't wrong

meh, its a lost to the Bobcats, I don't think anyone is losing sleep about it. We just need to remember to not take any team lightly regardless of their record.

Exactly! It's the Bobcats.... They own us. Period.
