02-02-2009: Kobe just put the league on notice.

It has to be noted that Kobe stayed 2-3 hrs after all players left practice yesterday to work on his jumper with Brian Shaw. Now the Cleveland and Boston games cannot be missed at any cost.

Great win by the Lakers. It's also important we have 3 in a row on the road.

Kobe beats MJ 55 points at MSG self record for an opposing player (yes it was JORDAN, NOT PARKER as realgm news say), in order to achieve the greatness top spot....but 55 Jordan points was vs one of the best defensive teams of all time...and this knicks, well, we cannot say they defend.

Beating previous record of points scored at MSG from Bernard King is also sweet.

Now the Knicks gotta play Bron next.....

and then Paul Pierce.....

Anyone want to guess the combined points for those 3 players against the Knicks after this week :o

a million

Kobe was just insane yesterday. Jimi Hendrix like. Talk about being in the zone. You could see that magic around him from the start of the game. Again, I think he must have made a deal at the crossroads when he was younger.

Why is there a discussion on ESPN about which performance was better, Jordan's 55 or Kobe's 61? Don't they know that 61 is more than 55? I mean, 6 rings are more than 3 right?

Because Jordan played against good Knicks team, while Kobe played against um...yeah.

Imagine Kobe lights 50+ against Celtics? Thursday can't come soon enough.

Are you saying that 6 rings aren't necessarily greater than 3?

I mean right now He has taken 31 shots and made 19......that is 61%, plus he is 18-18 from the FT line.

I know he scored the 81 before, but as far as points, FG%, and FT%

Kobe shot 61% when he scored 81 too. Only 18 for 20 for 90 % from the line though...

What a game by Kobe. Absolutely in the zone.

Keep it up Wednesday! I'll be there! :) So excited for my first ever NBA game.

Enjoy it. It seems like a completely different game in person.
