i don't know if Kobe's ego will allow this. he's trying to prove critics wrong (by winning a title without Shaq).

Shaq has proved he is a cancer and can destroy a team. No Thanks!

I'd do it for Amare, not for Shaq

Shaq is having a pretty good year after several years of rapid decline.

That said, I'd say no thanks.

Unless Shaq arranges a buyout and comes to the Lakers. Him replacing Josh Powell essentially? Oh wow...

Shaq can destroy a team if that team is the Suns who only want to run.
I say yes only because I don't want to be in the finals again and lose because of weakness upfront.
I trade Odom for a 1-2 years of this new Shaq.
Without Bynum we are thin weak and soft upfront compared to the Celtics.
Shaq changes that drastically.

I am also a guy who hated Shaq more then any other player but I still say yes.

Shaq can come here the season after next for the vet's minimum. Until then, I don't think we'll see him in a Lakers uniform.

Hell no for Shaq. He'll break the team chemistry. Too much drama in the past. Too much distraction. Lamar Odom and Pau click very well on the court. I do not want to see LO go. Hopefully AB gets back, and we have a big presence at the center position again.

But yeah..lol..this won't happen anyway.

Yes, because we all know a duo of Shaq and Kobe has never accomplished much. /green font

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said they didn't accomplish anything. I only said getting Shaq does not guarantee us a championship like you so believe. Did you miss '04? :-?

If Malone did not go down with injury Lakers would have won in '04 GUARANTEED.

Furthermore, this current Laker Squad was gauranteed to win a ring until Bynum went down, now I'm not so sure without him.

And yes, this team minus LO and plus Shaq would be guaranteed to win a title.
