Honestly I expected this kind of year or a house cleaning with regard to the penalties. All these other boards that bitch about or physical play are the same boards who chimed in after the final to laugh at us for being soft. Well.... you guys and the media made this monster, now shut up and get run over by it.

No bad sportsmanship intended but do Gerald Wallace and Rudy Fernandez think the Lakers are soft. The Lakers play hard, unfortunately sometimes in the pros they play so hard there are injuries. But the Lakers, this years Lakers are rock hard and in April the league will see that. In May the league will see that. IN JINE THE LEAGUE WILL SEE THAT!
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

You know what I think Danny, skip'em Right?
I mean I never thought we were soft or weak, NEVER if anything as you and others know I always said that this team is finesse and as time has gone by since we got rid of our garbage we have geled together very well as one.
But I recall just like you mentioned people called us soft, and now that we are palying aggressive and were putting people down (of course not intentionally) and now they are calling us dirty and cheap, I guess I can live with that.

Oh and Ankles................. I might be coming down to L.V on the 27 to 30th.
I will P.M a mod to give you a heads up if I do.......COOOOOOOOL.

The Lakers play in Hollywood.

There is nothing "hard" about that.

I think the whole "soft" Lakers thing is kind of stupid really when the team has 52 wins and is a favorite to win a championship. Nothing soft about Kobe.

Are the Charlotte Bobcates a "harder" team? Maybe...but what does that get you?

hollywood, and its surrounding communities, are a lot harder than you may think, as a resident , i hate that, but ill take the pepsi challenge with l.a.'s badasses over another cities anytime...

chris rock , denzel etc, all new yawkays , once they come here they stay here...

all the while trashing l.a. every chance they get, maybe not rock or denzel but still...

But denzel is a big laker fan. I think denzel loves l.a. Chris Rock is a knicks fan, he might live hear but i don't think he has a lot of love for l.a.

I wasn't meaning the locals and the surrounding areas, I just meant that you have guys playing for a legendary franchise, making a ton of cash and living in a city that apart from maybe New York, is set up for the rich to have every desire and wish met with privacy.

Like Luke Walton getting a manicure on Rodeo Drive while talking to his "bro" RJ on speaker phone about the traffic and how the sun is cracking his skin. You know, that aspect.

No question Los Angeles is a tough city, just not for pampered athletes.

And btw....I don't think the Lakers are soft and although they are not the toughest, they are hands down the most talented team in the league with a monster superstar and guru coach. I'd say that will put a team higher on the "tough" list.
