in defense of kobe and phil,i have never heard neither of them talk about themselves in the third person.

This is true, but it can't be denied that both are blessed with very healthy egos.

now that is something we both agree on. i think all great players are like that, but some take it to far sometimes.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

lebron is a good player, but in comparison to kobe he is not even close. kobe has had his statiscally inflated season earlier and that was huge! it was an explosion actually. he is now vey obviously playing for the greater good. sure, the cavs are winning as well, but from an individual perspective it is easy to see that kobe has slowed it down a bit, getting others involved AND is asked to save his energy whenever he can (i.e. on D, on the boards etc). lebron is going at fullspeed at the moment, same with wade. kobe isn't. those guys are not close to being as good as kobe. they may be in 5 years though, no doubt.

(with wade and his championship people forget that he had two hall of fame centers, haslem, posey and savvy gary payton among others as his supporting cast, I mean come on, he is a nice scorer and all, but it's not like he won that on his own. no one ever has, but he had some major help. he's nothing the league has never seen before. he is much closer to vince carter than kobe bryant if you ask me! but i also flat out hate the guy.)

look no one is taking anything away from them on the court. i still think kobe is better, but lebron and wade are great players. like i said in an earlier post wade is playing the best ball in the league right now.

yeah i know this was not about basketball talent initially, but there were some posts regarding this again and i'm growing tired of the discussion. to me it's obvious that they're all very good, but kobe is just the most complete player. they're all arrogant as hell, that's also not worth discussing.

Yes contracting HIV is fate and bad luck but Isn't it true that Magic was married and sleeping around when he contracted HIV.. that sounds like cheating on ur marriage, which from what i have heard Magic used to do a lot Can't call that a clean image..

Kobe also has had his fair share of off court trouble..

So we Lakers fans decide to attack a talented showman for putting a show.. come on get over it..

It is like Shaq doing break dance or Rap.. u got to enjoy and appreciate the off court talent in the guy..

Magic's squeaky clean image is a facade as shown by his contracting hiv..
So that actually makes Lebron better than Magic.. Considering his father was a con man , raised by a welfare supported single mom.. This guys is blessed thats for sure
As i said if u are judging him for his off the field behaviour u are measuring him by the wrong yardstick considering he is only 24.. Do u remember Kobe last year screaming to Trade Bynums ass..
Compared to Kobe at the same age Lebron seems modest..

are you saying that Magic isn't a good person because he got hiv?

if he is saying that then he has just won the award for the dumbest thing posted on a message board. what happened to magic could have happened to anyone who was young and kind of careless.

There is not right or wrong answer when someone has an opinion. You can agree or disagree.
