whats with this "slave" reference? Last I checked, slaves have no rights. If the maid was treated as badly as she think shes being treated, she had every right to stand up for herself and quit earlier or as soon as things started to get bad. I personally don't see nothing wrong with retrieving a price tag from dog feces. Maids are hired to do the dirty work. If the maid didn't want to do it, then she should of just quit right on the spot. I don't deny Vanessa may be a spoiled brat but that's the crap you have to deal with rich folks. If shes suing for unpaid hours than that's fine but suing for punitive and special damages in a situation where you could of easily gotten out of? Gimme a break....

Having been married for over 15 years I can tell you they are all crazy, including the maid.

from the way it sounds.. kobe wasn't trying to calm things down while vanessa was the b*tch...but it's an allegation.. who knows what really happened. Could have been some psycho maid or the Kobes are really that bad.. who knows.. But yeah, i too think it's a family ordeal not an NBA but he's an NBA start trying to get his next MVP..

that story put a dent on his trip to getting it. hehe... Maybe he can try for finals mvp lol.

Anyways, if the reports about Kobe's wife are true, I'm wondering whether

1. crazy lady, insufferable wife, helped loosen Kobe's marital vows. I'm not saying an overly demanding wife justifies infidelity, just that it's more understandable. The mention of dog poop is interesting, since it's at the top of Kobe's list of things he hates. So, imagine Kobe watching said poor maid digging through his equivalent Orwellian rats to just return her Bad M-Fer Ed Hardy shirt. One can understand why he'd go on a long trip to see the "doctor." Not justified, but understandable.

+1

Vanessa, as hot as she is, looks like the type that would lock her vagina up and only let Kobe hit it when she needed some shopping money. Kobe should just leave her, and bang all the supermodels he wants. It's just not right that the league's premier scoring threat on the court be held scoreless off the court.

This seems a little far fetched even for Vanessa Bryant. I have met her on a couple of occasions at some fashion and modeling shows. Though she is not a person I would want my wife to be friends with because of her "think she is better than everyone else attitude" I don't see her going to this extreme. Also as far as financial matters with Kobe and how his personal team handles his things I would bet money this maid was getting medical insurance or offered it but probably did something stupid like not turn in correct forms or something making it lapse.

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned yet the fact that this "maid" was making 50K a year.

In California, with the high cost of living, that isn't squat, is it? (I honestly don't know.)

I live in San diego, I have been in the military for 11 years, have years of higher education, been to Iraq and the Middle East numerous times as part of my job and a maid makes more than me. you tell me.

Fair enough. She makes exactly the same as I do, although I live in San Antonio, which is much more affordable. Just doesn't seem possible that people can survive in SoCal with the high cost of living.
