Jerry West can say whatever he wants, whenever he wants. Nobody has done more for the Los Angeles Lakers than him.

They say you shouldn't idolize sports figures.. The Logo is someone I always looked up to and admired.
As ST said, he has done more for the Lakers both as a player and GM than anyone I know.
I was a little dissappointed in his comments when he elevated LeBron over Kobe as the best player, not because I necessarily disagree with him, but because I felt such a comment should not come from someone that Kobe himself idolizes.
These recent comments by West will help Kobe (and some of us in the Laker Nation ) feel better about things.
