I recommend Brian Shaw with an update of the roster with the money saved (at least the guys back and another solid veteran inserted in as well).

i would take Rambis, since he knows more about the team other than anyone else

I agree, i think Shaw would do a better job, even though Rambis MAY know the triangle better. I don't know who knows it better. B-Shaw definitely has Kobe's rispect as mentioned, which i agree is crucial.

Byron Scott would be great but one MAJOR problem, what happens to the triangle if he is our coach? I HIGHLY doubt Scott will run the triangle, that'd be some kind of Mighy Ducks type scenario (New Coach - Same Ducks). I know Kobe wants to live by the triangle but he does respect Scott bigtime so who knows. It'd be interesting to bring one of Showtime's gems back home to run the team in arguably, one of the top 3 players of all time, in his prime! I read somewhere that Scott has said that coaching the Lakers would be his dream job. I think if the executives & front office think the Hornets have a mediocre 2009-2010 season with no NBA Finals appearance then it's possible that Scott's contract may not be extended, his contract ends this upcoming season too.
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust
