Man, what a tough choice. I like the guy, i like his determination, but his height and height in the NBA is a big factor. At least we would have someone to answer against aaron brooks LOL.

It be nice to have a PG who can actually penetrate effectively. This guy is a live wire and has a great energy for the game. I'd do it.

If we get Nate, Ariza, Farmar, Brown won't come back which is fine with me. Nate would be that 6th man for us.

i think farmar would fit the D'Antoni style of play too, he could prosper under him

In what alternate reality would the Lakers be able to do that?

That's a big 10-4 moo...
Luffy,
^ Artest's financial situation has greatly improved in Houston with Yao down.
^ Kidd is pretty much locked into NY or Dal
^ Marion is getting 7 to 10 in the LO range
^ Miller will re with Philly or take some Blazer money before settling for MLE

I think Nate is worth a look at 5-6 million which would be a sign and trade of Farmar and Morrison lets say. Fisher walks away next year and the Lakers' have a replacement along w/ Shannon Brown. So, they don't add any salary because of Fish's departure a year later.

Nate is only 25 and is just a game changing type guard off the bench. Especially for a team like the Lakers' who are already the champions. He just gets to the rim at will and gets to the free throw line and makes them. Reminds me of Rondo but can shoot.

Let's just hope Odom and Ariza stick and Nate will be a big bonus. Let's face it with David Lee getting shipped out, Nate is next and come 2010 you will see Lebron and Chris Bosh in NYK, ship it. They are gonna be really low on salary and spend 30 plus million on two players but two really good ones.

Fish, Nate, Shannon
Kobe, Sasha
Bynum, Benga
Gasol, Odom, Powell
Ariza, Luke

That's fine with me. Our PG rotation was the weakest in the league last season by a wide margin. Upgrading our PG position should be a priority this off-season.

In the games we have lost, we were severely outplayed at the PG position. Any quick PG will give the entire Lakers team trouble.

His size is always going to be the question. He always gives 110% and plays with a chip on his shoulder. But not sure he is worth the $8 million per year long term off the bench. This is one of those NBA basketball business decisions that Mitch talks about.
