I think the reason for only keeping 13 players is to put ourselves in a situation to strike, should some real fruit fall before the TD. I like it.

And, Sasha has no choice but to fix the machine or he's out before the TD, if you ask me. Sasha and Ammo for disgruntled player X seems to me like a good tentative plan unless they prove themselves.

Kupchak has made it clear that he does not want to carry more than 13 players

This is a mistake in my opinion.

I'm probably the cheapest dude on this board but I also understand that you've got to have a safety net or two.

Lamar Odom is a gangsta-ass safety net -- if Bynum or Gasol get hurt we just keep it movin' with Odom and that's the way it should be when you are trying to win rings.

Who is are safety net if Artest gets hurt? 'cricket-cricket'

Pinch pennies Kupchak but don't be so cheap as to possibly prevent us from winning another championship because we don't want to bring a safety net in here for 2 mill or less (4 mill or less with tax).

Remember Robert Horry people. Kupchak and Buss were being fatally cheap by not bringing back Horry for pennies to be our safety net for Karl Malone. That very small move or lack of a move cost us a ring folks.

13 players is all good if we have all positions and weaknesses covered ... we don't.

We f'd up ROYALLY by letting Marquis Daniels sign with Boston. He would have cost us 4 mill after tax but he would have in my mind pretty much guaranteed us another ring ...

Now we're left with the prospect of going to war with Walton and Morrison. If Artest goes down ... mark my word, most of you all will be screaming bloody murder and you all will be arrogantly criticizing Kupchak WAAAY after the fact for not bringing in another defensive wing this offseason, when most of you all don't have the forsight to see that we NEED one right now.

I agree with everything you said espially about Daniels and how good of a pickup that would have been.
