Why can't we get players like:
1. Rip Hamilton
2. Delonte West

1. Is too much $$$$, but probably on the way out with Detroit signing Gordon.
2. Always wanted him but he's not leaving Cleveland now

We should resign Von Wafer.

Too much $???

Farmar + AMMO make 8 mil

And they are expiring

I think there will be enough teams dumping players that if the Lakers want a good PG we can find one.

Team X: "We want to save $ and we also want to take a stab at the 2k10 free agent market, we are in the East and we have a very good guard who is redundant on our team but is a great player, he wants to be moved to a contender"

Lakers: "We have some players that can contribute now and are also expiring and we also have a two 2nd round picks that we don't need"

Its a match made in heaven really, both sides win

Chicago wants to clear as much cap space as possible for 2010. Would we be able to trade Famar+Ammo for Kirk. The Lakers would probably need to add a filler to complete the deal I'm guessing.

Are you saying Rip Hamilton is a short SG? He's taller than Kobe.

FAIL

You can't combine TPE's with players in a trade.
TPE's to be used by themselves.

^ this is where the release of Sun Yue really hurts. His 736k mostly non guaranteed deal would've made it work. They should've kept him around until October (for only 100k) just to see if they needed him in a trade.

Rip is 6'7 and not a sg who cant play pg.

We all assume Phil wants a tall pg. Why? He has gone with Fisher for so long. He had Payton but that didn't work out to good and we actually had a 6'4 pg but choose Farmar.

Don't you think they would have gotten 1 by now if that was the plan?

stackhouse?

would be a nice replacement for Kobe and jax could toy with moving Kobe to the point and stack to play the 2 (as he loves big guards).

if we could land him on the cheap, it'd be worth a shot.

No one talks about it much, but The Lakers have a 4.5 mil trade exemption from Mihm (2.5 mil) and Vlad (2 mil) that doesnt expire until Feb 2k10.

Trades will work in real life that won't on the trade checker. The BSPN trade machine shows the exemptions which is nice.

The Lakers could move Farmar + Ammo for a player that makes up to 12 mil per year if the right player came along.

Fish is expiring and I think we all expect him to take a lot less if he wants to play for the Lakers next year.

Example Fish + Farmar + AMMO this season = 13.5 mil
Hinrich + Fish next season = 11.5 mil (Fish making 2 mil)

The Lakers actually could save

This applies for other players as well

I knew they had a TPE I just didn't realize it was for $4.5 million. I thought it was under $2 million. I would have to think that Ammo/Farmar/maybe Fisher + 2nds for a PG and they use the TPE for another piece(based on injuries/neccesity) at the trade deadline or early next year.

So tecknically they can trade Farmar in a sign and trade for Sessions?

Wow not making this trade is something they will regret. He is a future 18 and 8 guy.

delonte wouldnt cost a bundle...

if lebron gives cleveland the shaft, why would delonte want to re-sign past 2011?

and sure rip isnt "short" but hes still tenacious enough to run through screens all day to defend and then run his opposing player through screens on the other end to make him tired

Rip makes 14 million. Its a little silly to have him in the conversation. He has 3 years left on deal.

I used to like Delonte give me my donuts until I say that donut thing. I rather have Farmar.
