So true. Dude couldn't even win a playoff series with one of the best playground legends evah in Smush 'dont call me Candace' Parker. Practically wasted the boy's prime.

Harris/ Lopez
Anthony/Nene or Billups
Bosh/Calderon
Griffin/Gordon (stretch)

would you guys do any of these? all of these? etc.. I"ve got three Kobe jersey's and his name in my freaking username. Don't question my love, just answer objectively.

Insanity.

Maybe in 3 years I'd think about a trade for some of those players, but now? Hell no. We are in the midst of a 3 year run for rings, trade Kobe now? Insanity. :o

The only one on my list NOW is.... Lebron. All those would be a stupid move.

Then we bring in Tony Bobbitt and Jim Jackson for the MLE.

Only if Kobe said trade me or I retire. The Warriors trade is not close and the Raptors should have Hedo or Bargnani as well

Kobe has more value to the Lakers than any other team

Kobe only wants to win it all
Lakers only want to win it all

Sounds like a good fit
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Remember, these aren't necessarily trades that would actually happen...
They're just trades we as Laker fans would make if Kobe had to be traded.

I think everyone is pretty happy with our team right now and I doubt anybody would want to trade the foundation piece of the Lakers puzzle unless something drastic happened...

That being said, I don't think there's a whole lot of people that are saying DHoward, as gifted as he is, will ever have the kind of career Kobe has, or even be the killer Kobe is right now... A lot of that stuff can't be learned...

And for a lot of people, Dwight getting to the finals and coming up so short has lowered his value as much as it's going to be for the forseeable future. He's being talked about as an athletic undersized center, who isn't skilled enough yet to carry his team to the Championship.

I haven't followed Jameer that close but from what I've read, he's hurt a lot.

So Jameer/Dwight for Kobe/filler, is a trade I think as a Laker fan, you have to look at if Kobe demanded a trade or something like that... Or if Orlando contacted us with that on the table....

I don't know if that makes us contenders right off because I think you'd have to completely re-tool to make it work, but you gotta admit, Gasol/Howard down low would be fun to watch...

only lebron straight up....

im surprised how under-rated deron williams is compared to the likes of chris paul, brandon roy, derrick rose, and kevin durant.

i'd do a deron+boozer for kobe

Deron Williams is underrated. He might be better then Paul with his size.

Deron and Boozer would be a good deal to if you had to although I choose Millsap

No to Boozer. Actually, I would like Deron in the triangle ALONGSIDE Kobe. I know the triangle doesn't fit most ball dominating point guards, but there's something about Deron that I like.

I think even right now, in terms of Kobe's value, it's hard to match since Kobe is ridiculously popular in China.

kobe's value at this time is unmatched by anyone else. lebron is new generatrion's golden child and they all want him to win like 8 in a row so that it will justify their jock gnawing. wade is close but also injury prone. bryant has number one jersey and was number 3 in most income by athlete regardless of sport. the lakers are the most beloved hoops team and he has almost single handedly keep them respectable while he had little help before gasol came. he is the only player that could have made trading shaq an acceptable option. that is of course the version of shaq they had in LA. if he is injury free he can take any team into the postseason. hence only one year w/out playoffs in 13 years.

Hahaha I know Kobe is a top 20 all-time but come on now. You guys are making it sound like Kobe is untouchable.

I would not even trade D Wade for Kobe straight up. Let alone a package of Wade and Beasley for Kobe.

Some of you need to stomp wimping out and saying "I would never trade Kobe". None of us would trade Kobe, it's a hypothetical of what packages you could get for him if he demanded out.

I wouldn't mind a package based around Roy and Bayless from the Blazers. Roy would really fill the void left by Kobe.

kobe is better right now than wade or lebron or roy but that's not why his value is so high. bryant is a legend in and outside of los angeles. he is a life long laker. one player-one team like in the 70's and 80's.
he's been consistently better than everyone else for nearly all of his career. when the lakers come to town i attend the games to be entertained of course but also to watch one of the all time best in person. when bryant retires the league will recognize his talents, determination and his desire to win at all costs

Hey, Heat fan here. First, congrats for the chip, well deserved. Right now, Kobe is the most complete player in the world, the closest thing to MJ. I think that he does have 2-3 years playing in that level, and I will put into consideration that I'm a not Lakers fan so the Love its not involved. I would trade Kobe for Lebron staight up in a heart beat. Cavs would not, so you can figure out. For Wade, I dont Know, Wade of the 2006 season and 2009 season, could bring 6-7 years of chips to LA, but the Wade of 2007 and 2008, could be out for 40 games. So in your place I would keep Kobe. After Lebron/Wade, there is nobody that deserves a straight up trade. As for packages of 2 or 3 players, you have to take into consideration the salarys, because at some point both players will ask for 17M or more. Peace.

I wouldn't like it but Im pretty sure if Buss could get Lebron for Kobe he would. He was on Kobe's side over Shaq and i have to believe it was because of age.
