Reporter asks Shaq, "Would you mind returning to the Lakers one day?"

Shaq, "No."

Reporter thinks, "I have a scoop, here!!!", and goes to town.

the latest news on shaq stealing nash's tv show idea just further shows this guy is all about his individual interests. to think otherwise is just fooling ourselves.

Shaq will be in LA next year. I agree with a lot of peps on here, but we are talking about Shaq he was a big part of this franchise and if he decides to come in here for min. and he is willing to accept a lesser role and we can have like other peps have metnioned a back court of Pau/Odom/Bynum/Shaq/-Benga or - Powel............... How sick is that?

Maybe Lebron told him he's not staying past 2009-2010.-

Some of you guys saying that Shaq to L.A won't happen reminds me of how some of you thought Artest to L.A is impossible. There were comments like keep dreaming and such things but what happened in the end? That dream became a reality and Ron Artest is now in L.A. Anything can happen.

The difference is that Artest to LA was a dream, Shaq to LA is a nightmare.

I'm not sure if all Laker fans can say the same. Some wouldn't call Artest a dream either. They still are in a dream where Ariza is a Laker.

Im one of those fans who wanted both Shaq and Artest in LA, so far Im one out of two, cant wait to see Shaq back in the P&G. And folks he will be back in LA.
Also I think the Cavs org. took Shaqs comments a bit to serious since they are coming out and letting everyone know that they are considering putting Shaq back on the trading block. They should just buy him out and let him come to LA.

I wouldn't want Shaq because I don't know if he would try and turn Ron against Kobe. I know it sounds paranoid but Shaq burns bridges and I don't care what anybody says he doesnt like Kobe.

I think he would go out in a bad bang if things didn't go right. Could his ego even have him as a backup?
He would have to really prove something on the Cavs like offer to come off the bench to give it power or and keep the chemistry in the starting 5 or something to really sell me on it.

It would have to be a contract thats a min that can be bought out anytime.

From a pure basketball point if I trusted Shaq it would be the coolest thing to have Bynum having a backup mentor like that and if Shaq was good to everybody it would be nice to see him play with Kobe again in a way espially if he has 2 more years left.

I wont speculate whether he will or whether he wont. All I will say is this. If he doesn't, well we've already won a title w/o him. If he does, I'd like to see him teach Bynum how to bully with that big body. The Cap has taught him how to do everything else, that would be a major plus for Drew & the Lakers.
