Gasol

Some good news on a slow off-season day…

Pau Gasol is back on the court practicing, his left index finger apparently healed enough to get the green light from Lakers trainer Gary Vitti.

Vitti visited Pau Gasol in Zaragoza, Spain last week to check on Gasol’s finger that he injured while practicing with the Spanish National team and reportedly felt the finger was healthy enough for him to resume practicing and is expected to play in Spain’s final tune-up for the European Championships against Lithuania on Thursday.

Good news indeed for Spain and the Lakers.

Vitti is awesome. So is Pau. Yay.

Can the season start sooner because of this news?

Pau should definitely focus on growing a mega-beard imo. I'm thinking Jim Morrison Lizard King style.

Either that or go back to this?

I'll take grizzled Pau any day.

Good to hear. It will probably get jammed a few times this season though.

How long does it take to heal without worries?

^ Unfortunately, it is never going to be the same again. Once you hurt a finger, it is all downhill from there. Pau might consider retirement. Good thing the Lakers got Artest bacause Pau will be lucky to average 12 ppg next season with a screwed up finger. So sad. :( Pau had such great potential.

i still think it's too quick. He could easily reinjure it and make it worst. Lakers should be careful and do what Mavs did to Nowiski and not let him play. But then again, he has so much pride for his country it'll be hard to hold him back
