This is best case scenario. A little backhanded slap to Kobe like this will just fuel his fire and he'll in turn light one right under Ron Ron, and Pau and LO who always need a little push.

Just like last season when everyone was gushing over Lebron and Cleveland, while the Lakers went about handling their regular season business.

1. San Antonio Spurs
2. LA Lakers
3. Boston Celtics
4. Orlando Magic
5. Cleveland Cavaliers

I can't wait for the year to start...

i can understand your view but i think td has lost a step. i kept saying that last regular season and everyone kept saying wait until playoffs and he'll turn it on. that's the norm for td but it didn't happen last year. he's still a great player but not what he used to be.

He did turn it on and played well.

Normally when a guy falls like that, there's reasons for it. I don't think Blair will have a huge impact. He's undersized and really lacks any sort of offensive game. I think he could be a Ben Wallace esque player but I don't think he plays as good defense or is going to block shots.
I tried telling that to Spur fans but that fan base is in clear denial, but one of the issues with Blair was previous problems with his knees. But I agree he's not going to have that much of an impact, especially being under sized and playing the 4 spot.

no way was he up to his old standards. he put up 19.8ppg & 8rpg. his career avg in playoffs (including last years performance) is 23.3 & 12.6. he's definitely lost a step and doesn't have the impact he used to.

Only third?

Sheesh, no surprise here after all we lost Ariza and Bynum is a bust, then we sign a head case like Artest, we are lucky to be that high, after all; the Celtics, Magic, Cavs, Spurs, Mavs and Clippers have all greatly improved....
