Rambis will be TWolves' coach for the next 4 seasons unless he is fired sometime between those 4 years.

The Wolves and Kahn are clearly interested in building a contender judging by the moves they've made this off season. The wolves will be awful next year, but they know that, they aren't going to fire Rambis next year.

Marc, thank you for posting that above, I'd seen that article and it's clear that Rambis can't leave if he wants. But what I"m trying to get is: are coach's contracts the same as players contracts? Is that money guaranteed or can the contract be voided at any time. I hear about coach's been fired all the time, wasn't sure if their contracts are the same as Rambis'.

I guess what I'm saying is...can the T-Wolves legimately fire Rambis mid-season and hire Laimbeer or Theus if they decided they wanted to and not be responsible for paying out his contract?

No they can't just fire Kurt and not pay his contract. They either have to settle on an amount to pay on a buyout or just pay him while somebody else is the coach if they did fire him.

Correct. Explains why Cuban is still supporting Avery's millionaire lifestyle.

or if Rambis gets another coaching job his contract becomes void. Thats why Avery Johnson wants 6 mil a yr or he would have to take a pay cut. Once Avery gets another coaching job Cuban doesnt have to pay him anymore.

Avery might as well forget about that, he ain't getting 6 mil from NOBODY. Why should somebody pay him over 50% of what Phil makes ? Phil has 10 titles he has the clout to ask for big dough, but all Avery has done is get a team to the Finals.
