The Bulls dont have to fall out contention to put Hinrich on the block even without him they still got a pretty damn good team with Rose, Salmons, Deng, Thomas, Miller and Noah and even Pargo thats a playoff team in the east. I think if they think they have a real shot at Wade in the summer they may want to drop 8 million in salary to go down to 20 millio in guranteed contracts to be more competitive in the bidding for Wade.

Weren't they only an 8th seed last year with Gordon all year long. They're an injury or two away from being out of contention or if some guys just struggle.

Looking at the East, the Celtics, Cavs, Heat, Magic, Hawks are all pretty much guaranteed play-off spots. The Wizards should be able to get one assuming some sort of health. You're looking at NJ, DET, TOR, PHI, IND and of course the Bulls fighting for two spots. I could see Det and Tor capturing those two spots, so if Chicago is 9th or 10th at the deadline, they may decide to dump Hinrich.

I think 7 slots are already locked in the EC.
top 3- Cleve, Bos, Orl
next 2- Atl, Tor
next 2 - Mia, Philly

Really it's everyone else battling for the last seed.

Would a defensive back court and wing of

Hinrich
Kobe the Olympian
Artest

be the best defense in history???

Well that's big if because we don't have enough assets to get him anyways.

We would also be set for the future with Sessions and Bynum, having a young pg and C the 2 most important positions who are young and can take over in 5 years? That is invaluable. There not gonna get another chance like this odds are. Also this year Sessions will be awesome, he is no project. He is also clutch as he plays well in the 4th and even got a shotclock beating game winning shot in his rookie year.

Sasha shot over 36% from 3 this year and everyone wants to run him out of town. If Sessions shots 3's like Walton he won't be in the game unless its for defense as a Laker.

Chances are the Lakers won't even use them.

Antonio Daniels anyone?

Post#53 » by mvpmims2003 » Mon Sep 7, 2009 7:30 pm

He may be moved by New Orleans per wiretap. I remember we tried to get him a few years ago but did not want to give him the whole MLE thus we were stuck with Smush. He's a big guard and will not see much time behind Paul and Collison. Not sure how we'd get him or if we should since he makes 6.6 Mil this season. Just wanted to hear everones take on it.

Don't think the team needs 4 point guards.

IIRC, Daniels said something about how he wanted to play for a contender...so he chose Washington.

4 pgs???
Fish is on his fair well tour as a starter and may retire soon

Farmar is expiring and a back up who wants to start. He has the same attitude as Ariza. Opportunity = starting instead of playing for a contender... w/ Fish up there why even add pressure. The timing of Farmars statement makes me think he is not ready to be a starting PG on a championship team (lets push Fish out the door cause I'm in a contract year that @$$).

Brown is a good prospect who can play point but who is naturally a 2 guard. Lets hope he breaksout again

Sasha is a 2 and a spot up shooter, Kobe is a 2, Sun is in China (thanks for helping the Lakers sell tix to Chinese) Phil doesn't want to use LO as a full-time point forward

2 po
