Pau needs to get it through his thick head that he's tired. Shut it down while he can and get ready for camp.

So thinks me and you, but we both know dam well thats not going to happen with Pau. Not only is there pressure on him from his fellow country men that he is obligated to give his all to his national team and its also his duty to make every sacrafice neccessary to help his team win. But the truth is and should be that his loyalty and his health should be dedicated to the Lakers Org. cause they write his checks and they should be very concerned about his health, productivity and further injury that might effect his NBA season or career.

Yo yo,

I think it's safe to say that the man has already given more than half a dozen years to Spanish basketball.

So I agree with Deep & Tony on this one: The Spaniard gotta consider shutting it down to heal.

The Spanish team is too talented not to qualify for the Olympics!

IE1: Rubio, Marc, Pau, Carlos, Calderon, etc.

Lets not forget....

Mark Cuban got Dirk to pullback from joining his boys in Germany.

http://my.lakers.com/blogs/2009/09/08/g ... anish-win/

After a tough first game back from his finger injury in Spain’s opening loss to Serbia, Pau Gasol was back to his dominant self in a 27-point, 11-rebound performance that led Spain to a 84-76 victory over Great Britain as the Spaniards avoided elimination from EuroBasket 2009.

EuroBasket 2009 glory? Hm.

That's different than playing an Olympic qualifier.

I know Pau is more loved and respected in Spain than he is over here so it makes sense that he'll rep his set overseas.

Spain should be favorites (especially if Manu isn't participating) to win it all.

Yeah they do and could be a damn decent one if all the NBA players play. Ben Gordon, Loul Deng and Joel Freeland are NBA players from Britain.

They've never made it to the Olympics, at least not recently. (from a bball standpoint)

Btw, who's Joel Freeland?
