Referees Anticipating Lockout

Post#1 » by TonyMontana » Fri Sep 11, 2009 2:47 am

I cant believe nobody posted this. This doesnt sound good, and we are all excited for this season to start but it seem like were going to have the Zebras screw it all up for us.

NBA referees are prepared to be locked out for the start of the season after negotiations with the league on a new contract broke down this week when David Stern ended the latest bargaining session.

Season will start with or without these refs. They could always use substitute refs on a short term contract to do the officiating until this contract dispute is resolved.

Mm.. Sounds like a simple bargaining ploy to me. I rekon come the start of the season when push comes to the shove there will be the same set of referees on the court

I believe that the D - League refs are under the same contracts that the regular NBA refs are under.

they should go back to old fashion street ballin... no refs LOL jk.
What do they want now? more money so they can blow it off betting? lol jk again

it's true.. refs can be replace with others who are more than willing to just get their feet into that little door. NBA won't stop for the refs.... fans paying to watch their favorite players play out weighs the refs lockout. They have to lean toward where the money is..

Well the calls couldn't get any worse

Those old guys who cant see and are sure they know the game are the ones ruining the game so I'm all for a re lock out.

i hate that i know all the refs by name... they shouldn't be important to the game BUT THE REFS HAVE A HUGE IMPACT ON THE GAME
