Goes on to show just how OVERCONFIDENT/COCKY the organization is from top to bottom. What were they saying about winning last year and who won and whom/what did they blame the not winning on? The Celtics just need to SHUT their traps and play. Kobe and his sidekicks are gonna make them eat their words.

I am so sick of these Boston players/fans and Denver players/fans talking big. They should just shut up and play ball........like Kobe does. I have never heard Kobe talk about losing to the Celtics in '08 because of Bynum's and Ariza's injury. He said we'll have to work harder next year. Now that my friends is a sign of a true SUPERSTAR (KOBE).

+1

If the Celtics lose, watch them make an excuse of how their trip to the finals/playoffs was tougher than ours. Whereas, this is the first year they could possibly experience tough opponents in the playoffs. The Lakers have been doing that every year.

If the Lakers played out East, they would have won possibly 8-10 more games.

Didn't believe it, but here's a pic.

I just hope this isn't the kind of garbage it takes to keep our players hungry. The fact that you have to put a piece of cheese in front of a players' head to do their JOBS over in Boston, makes me laugh.

Once in a while I ask myself why I despise the C's so much and usually they answer that question for me.
This is just another example of their arrogance.

that they have hung a banner doesn't say "we're gonna win anyway, let's hang a banner already?"

its blank though. the banner signifies the goal and expectations of the season, the blankness represents the work they still have to do, the journey they have yet to take. no biggie, but yeah, i guess that can be taken the wrong way.

It's just arrogant. If the Lakers did such a thing, they would be called the most arrogant SOBs around.
I don't have a problem with them having goals and expectations for the season and to somehow reflect on the work that needs to be done to arrive at your goals, but you don't need to hang a banner to do that unless you are very arrogant.
I guess there are other ways of motivating yourself...and less publicly.
