11. Andrew Bynum
Age: 21
Previous rank: 22
Movement: +11

There’s less hype surrounding Bynum this season than there was last year due to the arrival of Ron Artest and the strange Lamar Odom-Khloe Kardashian wedding. With that said, NBA general managers recently voted him the most likely breakout star of 2009-10, putting him above Kevin Durant in that regard. I too think Bynum will have a breakout year. If he stays healthy, I think he will reach 1,000 points and 750 rebounds for the first time in his career. Barring injury, he’ll be a mainstay in the top half of this list.

Nice to know that NBA GM's feel that way about our young Center. If he works his ass off he can have a breakout year. I wonder if he has a shot at most improved. The only reason why I don't think he would win it is because people know what he can do so he really hasn't improved but he hasn't been able to do it because of all the injuries.

Agreed, I don't think he can win most improved b/c he was putting up great numbers before each injury.

Its just going to be interesting to see what he can if/when (fingers crossed) he stays healthy for a full year.

i just hope he can get a full season in

we dont know how he is going to react playing big minutes or even in crunch time because he seems to always be in foul trouble, and PJ doesnt have trust in him. i do think he is ready to break out i just hope he does it.

GMs actually poll this stuff...

I can't think of a better analogy but its kind of like telling another poker player what cards you really like having.

Its good to know that Bynum is thought of that way by GMs but doesnt that hurt their ability to make a low ball offer.

I see GMs like poker guys trying not to give too many tells, they try to package their players like gold and act just so so about the player they are dying to get on their team. "Gasol he is all right, I really value Kwame and he is expiring and its a win win... I can do it for the rights to his brother, and Crit and a 1st.... what you want 2 1st round picks are you crazy.... all right I give in because Kobe is berthing down my damn neck but you are getting one heck of a deal."

Possible 1 team series.

Lakers vs. Clippers (the visiting dressing room would be empty) all 7 games played in the same building!!!
NY Yankees vs. NY Mets
LA Dodgers vs. AAngels
NY Giants vs. NY Jets
Chi White Sox vs. Chi Cubs (very very very unlikely)
NY Knics vs. Brooklyn Nets (someday?)
