Re: Friendly Banter: Lakers vs Celtics
this dude doesn't know what he's talkin about.
- There ain't no 'friendly banter' when you put the Lakes and C's in a conversation.
- He matched up allen and ronron; pierce and kobe?? Surely he didn't watch the finals back in 08'.
- Binum?? Mambo?? really??
Ok.
So the C's this year have a lot more to prove than last year. Especially now that they got Wallace and Daniels. Wallace will probably do the usual contribution he's been doin for the past few years with the Pistons, outside jumpers and ball distribution. A good addition also in M Daniels, i remember watching him a couple of times with the Pacers and he's capable of playing the 2-guard positions, probably keep Rondo or R. Allen fresh.
To be honest, the C's are slipping. Give em 2 more years, then the C's are back in the 20-year hiatus of no championship.

All this talk about Rondo in a positive light? Were the celtics not trying to trade him because he was a cancer. It's only a matter of time before he blows things up in boston. Sure Wallace was a nice addition but he looked old last yr with Det.

What's with that amature-ish stuff in the parenthesis? Old Clutch? SuperStar? Mr Tripple Double? All-NBA Defense?
Oh and if you wanna make series previews or match-ups, it helps to know the players on the opposing team (let alone how their names are spelled). Let me tip you off: http://www.nba.com/lakers/

I wouldn't trade Bynum for dirty Rondo.
The young guns will make all the difference and this year Bynum will bust out like you wont believe

Re: Friendly Banter: Lakers vs Celtics
OP you think your team is the best team in the NBA, I don't. BTW This is hardly friendly banet OP it's a stright troll bait and run. 1st off Ray Allen is a SG, not a SF. I would highly doubt Kobe matches up with Pierce with Ron Ron here now, it's going to be Kobe/Ray, Pierce/Artest.
Gasol Llama? (What's that some European award) or are you calling him a llama (mammal) as some sort of blow like he's soft? Gasol was an anchor last year, he was amazing, he took all the hard hits all year and was to me more valuable than even Kobe with Bynum hurt most of the year. No way the Lakers win the championship unless Pau has a great year like he had. If you truly think he's soft then you didn't watch the LAL much once KG went down. BTW Llamas are quite nasty once provoked!
I'm thinking Farmar is going to be starting before long, so D Fish & Lamar will be part of that bench mob. Lamar is clearly the best player not starting on both squads. If the Celtics are older, but Sheed has been playing estra old the last couple of years, he's running on fumes he's 35 going on 55.
You say the Celtics gave in to fatigue in the ORL series. I don't think they gave in, but I'm sure they were fatigued. You think this year is going to be that much different? They may have to go thru ORL, and then CLE.
Was BOS even the #1 DEF team last year? Can anyone confirm or deny that?
The one guy that scares me in that lineup is Rondo I think he's one of the most underrated players in the league. The Celtics bench was terrible last year, but they grew a lot as the season progressed and can really be much better this year.
KG guaranteed the next 2 championships, yikes if the C's get to the final it would be a huge step much more than that I don't see happening. Is their a fountain of youth in Boston I don't know about?
Gasol is going to be first team All-NBA, Kobe will be as well, Andrew will make it easily with Yao out, he almost made it last year with the few games he played and with a possible 6 man of the year award and a possible all star appearamce coming in Lamar Odom off the bench it's looking good. You're sure the New England Senior Center is up for the challenge? Remember Mailman & GP they got hurt and hit a wall, the Celtic's are gonna do much better?
I think CLE is gonna have the best record in the East, but I'm not sure they'll be in the NBA Finals. I can see a LAL/BOS final the easiest.
